1.  Monrovia’s Elis McCarthy verbally commits to California.

2.  Tim Tebow hits on 10 of 21 for 316 yards and two touchdowns to beat the Steelers.

3.  Kevon Seymour of Muir verbally commits to USC.

4.  South Pasadena’s Girls basketball team is 11-5 lead by Kelsey Nakamura’s 10 points and six rebounds a game.

5.  Calvin Johnson catches 12 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns in playoff loss to Saints.

6.  San Gabriel’s Cedric Ho signs to play football in France.

7.  On January 9th 1972 the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Los Angeles Lakers 120-104 to end their 33 game win streak.

8.  Drew Brees completes 33 of 43 for 466 yards and three touchdowns to lead he Saints over the Lions.

9.  South Pasadena’s Jevon Shields leads the Rio Hondo League in scoring with 15 a game.
