South Hills looks to rebound from tough beginning in CO Tourney.

Barreling into the league portions of schedules this week and many teams still trying to find their identity.

The Almont will be fun to watch with Keppel, Schurr, and Montebello all battling to be champs. La Canada and San Marino with its pitching will battle for Rio Hondo League supremacy beginning this week.

Next week Burroughs and Crescenta Valley will get the upper hand on the Pacific League lead. Village Christian will look to upend Whittier Christian’s reign of the Olympic.

  1. Burroughs (8-1) – Another week another upset win over Division 3 power.
  2. La Canada (5-0) – Future on display in Arroyo win.
  3. Crescenta Valley (4-0) – Falcons will be tested in High Desert Classic.
  4. Duarte (4-1) – Out to defend Montview League title.
  5. St. Lucy’s (7-2) – Regents sweep La Mirada in doubleheader.
  6. Village Christian (6-2) – No know in loss to Harvard-Westlake.
  7. Keppel (6-0) – Only thing stopping Aztecs is rain.
  8. La Mirada (3-3) – Begin Suburban League play with back to back games against Bellflower.
  9. Santa Fe (6-2) – Miranda Hernandez went two-for-three in loss to Mayfair.
  10. Bishop Amat (7-3) – Lancers in finals of Charter Oak Tourney.
  11. Schurr (4-4) – Never give up Spartans have many ways to beat a team.
  12. El Rancho (7-0) – Can’t ignore fast start.
  13. Los Altos (6-3) – Heather Saucedo batting .500 early in the season.
  14. South Hills (6-3) – Tough loss to Schurr followed by two straight wins.
  15. Montebello (5-2) – Valerie Aguilar already has four homers.
  16. La Salle (4-2) – Lancers heading into tough Del Rey League portion of schedule.
  17. San Marino (6-4-1) – Titans look to stop La Canada next Friday.
  18. Bonita (4-4) – Slow start continues for Bearcats.
  19. Whittier Christian (5-4) – Big turnaround in Ontario Christian tournament going 3-0
  20. San Dimas (5-4) – Stop three-game losing streak with win over Claremont.
