Rosemead HC Marc Paramo getting an early start
(Rosemead) - “Championships aren’t won in November and December, they’re won now!” First year Rosemead Coach Marc Paramo barked at his team while running them through a late Wednesday workout. While getting in some physical drills Paramo made sure they got plenty of verbal motivation as well.
The Panthers are getting an early start in the upcoming football season after finishing .500 last year and out of the playoffs. Since last November Matt Koffler stepped down and Paramo, formerly the DC, took over as HC. Paramo has Rosemead on the field every Wednesday late afternoon/evening.
“I used to look forward to Fridays. Now I look forward to Wednesdays!,” Paramo continued. “This is the earliest we’ve ever started gentlemen and it’s going to pay off.”

Ten more yards!
Rosemead went 2-3 in the MVL including a two point loss to South El Monte in the regular season finale that officially knocked the Panthers out of the post season.
“The last time you guys wore a helmet the score was 33-31 and you guys lost. They went on and played and you never played again. 33-31! Remember that score!”

Getting ready
Rosemead also sufferred losses to El Monte 20-13 and Arroyo 28-21 to find itself on the outside looking in and so April was as good as anytime to get started.
“I don’t give a damn if it’s not spring. Let’s work!…You guys had the talent to be an eight win team last year and you were 5-5. Not acceptable!”

Stretch it out
Even as the players jumped to their feet after stretching, Paramo some room for improvement.
“That’s not good enough. Now get back down and let’s do it again! C’mon, C’mon, you got to believe!”

Doin' work in April
Paramo made it clear to his troops that last year was an aberration.
“This is not a rebuilding year. We are here to win now. We might be young, but we’re going to be smart. We might be young but we’re going to compete. We might be young, but you know we’re going to be physical.”

I got this!
And so it went as late afternoon began to turn to evening. A full coaching staff manning four different stations and the Rosemead Panthers dilligently working through them all. And eventually, as Paramo stated earlier, he saw it beginning to pay off…in the first week of April.
“That’s it, now you getting it. That’s the way to do it. Good job!”
“
El Monte will get neat like always by arroyo

Rosemead needs a qb over 5’3
Rosemead will be in the playoff and with a new look in what they do . they lost a few game with sec left last year an a young QB THAT DID NO PASS TO MANY THERE RB WILL BE GD AND LOOK TO SEE A NEW QB THIS YEAR THAT BEEN WORKING HARD BESIDE THE POINT EVER ONE HAS A LOTS OF PLAYER coming back rosemead is going to be playing better then ever with the new leaders .
Has Keppel named a coach
Rosemead will finish 3rd if they are lucky. No QB, No RB No defense equals no PLAYOFFS.
Get ‘em P!!!!!
!!!FEAR THE MEAD!!!WAR PANTHERS!!!
I’m just telling you when Spring actually is…we’re not in the dark ages of winter right now.
right Bonita but if you know football, which you obviously don’t, spring in this sense means May and they’re usually not out there until May. Worry about Bonita cus they’re going to take a beating this year!
Spring started March 21 if we’re gonna get technical coach…and summer doesn’t start until June 21.
Nice. I like this.
@panther pride bobby knight is talking about burn out, not playoffs. Short term and long terms should be in place, and of course rest. Without rest you cannot replenish, proper pace gets you to the finish line. This is a good coach who’s obviously is trying to send a message, but let not be at the expense burned out kids. Rebuilding year……
They’ll be fine. Paramo is a good coach. In fact I think they’ll surprise because everyone is looking at Arroyo and El Monte with everybody they have coming back. South too. Rosemead will return to the playoffs.
Rosemead lost to el monte and arroyo by less than that.
You gotta be careful. High school boys burn out easily. Without immediate rewards some may quit. Set goals they can reach to keep them interested and measure their progress weekly. That way they can see what they are getting for the hard work. Good luck coach.
