1. Monrovia’s Mason Bryant works out at Stanford Elite Baller camp.

2. The Insight Bowl becomes the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl under a new sponsorship agreement. The game which was once known as the Sun Bowl is played in Tempe, Arizona.

3. Carmelo Anthony scores 27 points to lead the USA to a 100-78 win over Spain.

4. Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees pleads guilty to misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and receives 50 hours of community service and 11 months of probation.

5. Penn State running back Silas Redd (1241 yards last year) is considering transferring to USC.

6. “They’re here right now. They’re Penn State football players. We talk to them constantly about our ability to coach them and get them ready for the National Football League.” – Penn State HC Bill O’Brien on how he tries to convince his players not to transfer.

8. Diamond Ranch does not have a number one quarterback right now. “Xavier Beltran and Pablo Unzueta will both rotate,” said Panther Coach Roddy Layton.
