Mid Valley staff’s Northwest top 10 now that the 2012 season is here.
- Torrance – Jacob Kalama threw 17 td’s in 2011 and returns to lead the Tartars.
- Centennial – Looking to better last season’s quarterfinal playoff run.
- Cantwell – Timothy Walsh’s 24td passes in 2011 is tops among returners in the Del Rey League.
- Bishop Diego – Can Jack Gregson bridge the gap for the 42 touchdowns lost with the graduation of Nolan Tisdale (27td passing) and Brandon Gonzalez (17 rushing)
- Whittier Christian – Cody Bronkar!
- Bishop Montgomery – Michael Turner is the key to the Knight’s success.
- La Puente – Daniel Martinez returns to lead a defense that saw only two loses in 2011.
- Maranatha – Minutemen will go as far as Andrew Elfers arm takes them.
- Nordhoff – It will be tough to replace Isaac Seymour’s 1,651 yards and 23 td’s.
- Azusa – Roster was pillaged by graduation but don’t underestimate the coaching ability of Joe Scherf and staff
