The TEN

(“The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1.) As a senior El Monte running back Bryan Luevano rushed for 931 yards and caught 24 passes for 311 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns total, 10 on the ground. In three varsity seasons he rushed for 1,614 yards and scored 18 touchdowns.

2.) Between 1997-2001 Mike Gorball’s girls basketball team at Arroyo won 33 consecutive Mission Valley League games.

3.) Whittier Christian receiver Noah Evans (6-3, 200) 2012 stats: 74 catches, 7 touchdowns, as sophomore.

4.) The San Diego Chargers hire former Arizona Cardinals HC Ken Whisenhunt on Thursday to serve as the team’s OC.

5.) Rosemead Lady Panthers basketball team has currently won 40 straight Mission Valley League games. During HC Jay Gauthier’s first years Mead compiled 44 straight before losing to Arroyo, 63-46, on January 11, 2006 at Arroyo. If they win their next four games they will be at 44 when they face the Lady Knights in February.
