1.) The Brooklyn Nets grab a 95-92 win over the Chicago Bulls to force Game 7 in round one of the NBA playoffs.

2.) Clay Buchholz earns sixth win on Wednesday night in 10-1 rout of the Blue Jays. Buchholz has the best record in the MLB at 6-0 and has the best ERA at 1.01.

3.) On this date in 1987, Julius Erving plays the last game of his basketball career in Milwaukee. The game resulted in a 102-89 series-ending loss in the first round of the playoffs. He was 36 years old.

4.) On this date in 1963, Pete Rose hits the first home run of his career off of St. Louis Cardinals’ pitcher Ernie Broglio.

5.) On this date in 1936, Joe DiMaggio makes MLB debut.

6.) The Los Angeles Kings fall to the St. Louis Blues in Game 2 of the NHL Playoffs 2-1. This leaves the Kings behind 2-0 in the series.

7.) The Golden State Warriors survive in a 92-88 Game 6 victory over the Denver Nuggets. They advance to the second round to face the San Antonio Spurs.

8.) After playing 14 years in the league, cornerback Al Harris decides to retire with the Green Bay Packers. He spent half of his career with them.

9.) In 2007, the Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 111-86 to be the first number eight seed team to win a best-of-seven playoff series.

10.) Phil Jackson joins the Detroit Pistons to consult the team on their coaching search.
