Glendale Dynamiter Duo of Dillon Fuller (left) & Linden Anderson (right).

Good Afternoon!

Well its not Muir, but Rosemead facing San Marino in week three next year is good for me. The schools have agreed to a contract.

In fact (I welcome the correction) I believe the Titans played their first season at Rosemead in 1955.

How bad is it in Oakland? Put it this way if the Raiders played the Duarte Falcons next Sunday I’d put my money on Tip Sanders.

(And this has nothing to do with me being foolish enough to draft Darren McFadden twice in two years)

Our bad for not previously mentioning Temple City trench warrior Victor Dominguez who leads the Rams in tackles.

The battle for the Smudge Pot is also a great match up between stellar defenders Christian Morgan (San Dimas) and Casey Horine (Bonita). Horine leads the Bearcats in tackles, forced fumbles, while playing a significant role at receiver on offense. Morgan leads the Saints with 11 sackes, five forced fumbles, and is second on the team in overall tackles.

These two are the poster boys for: “BAD DUDES”

For What its Worth: San Dimas has outscored Bonita all-time 642 to 563. The Bearcats have recorded five shutouts in the series, the Saints blanked their rivals from LaVerne eight times.

On this date in 1972 Los Altos scored a 21-14 victory at West Covina. The Bulldogs, ranked number one in the 3A Division, fumbled the ball at their own 26 late in the fourth quarter. Moments later Conqueror running back Binky Benton (yes, that was his name) scored his second touchdown of the night on a two-yard run.

Los Altos took an early lead when quarterback Rob Hertel went 76-yards to Steve Hill. Westco tailback Bob Trudeau tied the score on a 25-yard run, later he would tie the score again at 14 on a 24-yard sprint to the paydirt.

On the same night Arcadia tailback Scott Butler rushed for 146-yards on 17-carries and scored the only touchdown on 53-yard first quarter run to give the Apaches a 13-0 victory over Bishop Amat at home. Two-way lineman John Schumacher added a pair of field goals as Arcadia stopped the Lancers 19-game winning streak.

Note to Burroughs’ Keith Knoop: If I can be so bold, keep throwing the football to Kohl Adams. He is  among the best we’ve seen this season.

And since we are talking receivers “The Glendale Two” Dillon Fuller and Linden Anderson are pure dynamite for the Nitros.

San Marino grinder Benny Hung will have rushed for well over 700-yards this season by the time league play starts next week. Hung is averaging six-yards per carry.

Name of the Day: San Marino linebacker Trent Converse.

Last add Rosemead: They need Joey Diaz if they are going to secure the second spot in the MVL.

As for the Montview, in regards to La Puente. who is like the Warriors? Who is able to make war with them?

Stay thirsty my friends…
