1. Brian Wilson, who had 171 saves in seven years with the Giants, signs a one-year, $1 million contract with the Dodgers.

2. The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a sign and trade deal with the Milwaukee Bucks to land Brandon Jennings.

3. Mark Ellis singles home Andre Ethier in the ninth inning to give the Dodgers a 3-2 win over the Yankees.

4. The Angels deal reliever Scott Downs to Atlanta for minor league pitcher Cory Rasmus.

5. Former Boston Red Sox slugger George “Boomer” Scott passed away at the age of 69.

6. Albert Pujols is out for the season with a foot injury and the Angels are now reportedly listening to offers for shortstop Erick Aybar and second baseman Howie Kendrick.

7. La Serna running back Bryce Oliver 2012 stats, sophomore year: 64-373 yards, 5 TD.

8. Ganesha WR/CB Aaron Speed 2012 stats, junior year: Rec: 37-330 yards. Def: 61 Tackles, 24 assisted, 85 total.

9. The Red Sox acquire Jake Peavy from the White Sox in a three team deal also involving Detroit.

10. The Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin and the Ravens’ Dennis Pitta were both injured in training camp and are out for the year. The Seahawks Percy Harvin will have hip surgery and is out until at least November.
