Rosemead Sophomore quarterback Steven Nava ready to step in as starter

Nava impressed last year as a freshman and is ready to step in as the full time starter behind center for the Panthers this season. He has had a terrific spring and summer not only with Rosemead but also at various camps that he has attended. Last year was a rarity for the Panthers as they spent the post season at home rather than preparing for a first round playoff game. Nava will be a big part of changing that.
Nava has been preparing for this opportunity since he was about seven years old. He has attended the quarterback combine with Coach Jio Lucci since that time and he has also been part of the Matchmaker.coms elite 7 on 7 team. He was a finalist at the Steve Clarkson dream maker QB competition and he was picked for top gun at FBU. Last year he threw for 2715 yards and 25 touchdowns on the freshman team. Rosemead HC Marc Paramo is hoping all that translates to a successful run over the next three years.
