The Schurr Spartans are on the rise

Did anybody see Schurr coming? Wow…the Almont just got real interesting. Will Pomona ever lose? The Red Devils don’t get San Dimas until the regualr season finale November 8.  Just as we thought…when league starts the Saints heat up. Ouch Mt. View! That one’s going to hurt.

1. Monrovia (6-1) – And the Rio routs continue.

2. Paraclete (3-4) – A spirited bombing of Brentwood.

3. Arroyo (6-1) – Knights have outscored two league opponents 88-13.

4. San Marino (6-1) – Tyler Spitzer shines for Titans.

5. San Dimas (4-4) – Saints moving on up to the Valle Vista side.

6. Viewpoint (7-1) – Patriots stun Sierra Canyon in Saturday night showdown.

7. Pomona (7-0) – Can the Red Devils beat the Saints? Really?

8. Sierra Canyon (2-5) – Overrated? Blazers 2-4 in non league and now fall in Alpha West opener.

9. Rosemead (6-1) – The least respected 6-1 team in the valley?

10. Northview (5-2) – Vikings need to beat Baldwin Park to finish third.

11. Baldwin Park (6-1) – Nice bounce back win for Braves over Covina.

12. Schurr (3-4) – Huge win over BG vaults Spartans to top of Almont.

13. Bell Gardens (5-2) – Lancers had scored 141 points in three games before Spartans zeroed in.

14. Montebello (4-3) – Oliers get their shot at Lancers this week.

15. Covina (3-5) – Colts are still breathing…barely.

16. Gabrielino (5-2) – Elijah Peters enjoys the View against Vikes.

17. Windward (5-1) – Wildcats are a shaky 5-1.

18. South Pasadena (3-4) – Tigers mauled by Monrovia; who isn’t?

19. Mt. View (3-4) – The 2013 window may have just closed on the View.

20. La Canada (3-4) – It will come down to last two weeks for LC.
