TEMPLE CITY — With less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter, the South Pasadena Tigers forced three straight turnovers and scored 10 unanswered points, lifting the Tigers to a 68-56 win Wednesday night at Temple City High.
South Pas jumped out to a quick 18-9 lead at the end of the first quarter with all five starters scoring at least once in the quarter. The trend continued throughout the second and most of the third quarter. However, the Rams were able to make a run and scored 22-points in the third. Ram guard Goren Lee scored a team high seven points in the quarter.

***Both teams traded buckets for the rest of the third and the start of the fourth. Temple was able to cut the lead down to three points with four minutes left in the fourth but then the ***Tigers forced three straight turnovers and ultimately closed the game.
***”We just hunkered down on defense,” said Tiger head coach David Lutzeier. “It was a lot of good defense stops mixed with great shooting.”
***Max Luck lead grabbed a team high 10 rebounds in the win while Kyler Lee scored a game high 20 points. Defensively the Tigers forced nine Ram turnovers and scored eight points off turnovers.
***”South Pasadena came out with a lot of energy, they made shots and I don’t think we were ready to play,” said Ram head coach Eric Chin. “They played well and it’s a learning experience for us.”
***With the win, the Tigers are now tied for second with the Rams and two games behind La Canãda for first place.
***The Tigers (9-8, 4-3) look to extend their streak when they host Monrovia this Friday night.
***Temple City (13-8, 5-2) looks to rebound when they host San Marino on Friday.
