Mt. Sac 42 El Camino 26 (Oct 31, 2009 at El Camino College)
In the win that improved Mt. Sac to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference, Bryce McBride (Bishop Amat) had 17 carries for 79-yards and a touchdown. Jesse Canada (Monrovia) had three catches for 57-yards, Ahmere Owens (Muir) had one catch for 16-yards and a touchdown and Greg Parham (South Hills) had one catch for six yards.
On defense, Austin Daniels (Muir) and Arness Ikner (Pasadena) each had five tackles.
Fullerton 20 Palomar 17 (Oct. 31, 2009 at Escondido, CA)
The win made it four in a row for the Mid Valley number one Fullerton. The locals who stood out were Alex Valdez (Schurr) with two tackles, one interception and a reception for 26-yards. Derrick Price (Bonita) had six tackles, David Slover (South Hills) had two and Raul Pintado (Schurr) had one.
Glendale 27 Alan Hancock 55 (Oct 31, 2009 at Righetti High School)
Willie Youngblood (Muir) was valiant in a losing effort carrying the ball 30 times for 135-yards and three touchdowns and had two receptions for 15-yards. Reinaldo Reyes (Blair) had five receptions for 79-yards and a touchdown and three kick returns for 52-yards.
On defense Stephon Crutchfield (Blair) had two tackles.
Pasadena 27 Moorpark 20 (Oct 31, 2009 at Pasadena, CA)
It was another stellar day for Muir’s Reuben Thomas. Thomas scored four times. Two rushing, one receiving and one on a 75-yard punt return.
Defensively, Williams Do (Temple City) had four tackles and Brian Gonzalez (Alhambra) had one.
ELAC 51 Santa Monica 37 (Oct. 31, 2009 at Santa Monica, CA)
ELAC improved their conference record to 3-2 behind a huge day from Pedro Velasquez (El Monte). Velasquez connected on 25 of 36 passes for 424-yards and four touchdowns. For good measure Velasquez also score on a nine yard run. Marquis Williams (Monrovia) had five carries for 29-yards and a kick return of eight yards.
On defense Mitchell Garner (Muir) had six tackles and Norm Ceja (Arroyo) had one.
