2. Former major league manager, coach and player Don Zimmer passes away at 83. Zimmer once played for Casey Stengel.

3. Colin Kaepernick signs six-year, $110 million extension with the 49ers.

4. The NFL announces that Super Bowl 50 will be represented using standard Arabic numerals instead of the Roman numeral L. It will just be a one year break from Roman numerals.

5. Donald Sterling has agreed to sell the Clippers to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and won’t pursue any further legal action against the NBA.

6. The San Francisco Giants at 37-21 have the best record in baseball.

7. New Alabama OC Lane Kiffin will earn $2.074 million over three years.

8. La Mirada WR/DB Tony Brown was offered by SMU. It’s Brown’s eighth offer so far.

9. California Chome’s odds to win the Triple Crown Saturday at Belmont is 3/5.
