1.  After 334 at bats the Dodger’s Dee Gordon is hitting .302 with 42 stolen bases and is headed to the MLB All-Star Game.

2.  Former Laker Jordan Farmar walks across the hall and signs a two year contract with the Clippers.

4.  Former Virginia Cavalier and Houston Rocket Ralph Sampson turns 54 today.

5.  Mid Valley wishes for a speedy recovery to L.A Kiss lineman and former Schurr Spartan Michael Diaz who was injured in the Kiss’ loss to the Sabercats.

6.  Serena Williams beat her sister Venus 7-6, 6-3 to win the Wimbledon Championship on this day in 2002.

7.  Facing a year suspension from the NFL for a second failed drug test, Cleveland received Josh Gordon was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with driving while impaired.

8.  On this day in 1974 West Germany defeats the Netherlands 2-1 to win the 10th World Cup Championship.

9.  Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-4 to win the Wimbledon Men’s Championship.
