St. Francis is a solid number two after win over Monrovia

By Tim Peterson

Another giant is slayed by La Mirada while St. Francis puts it on Central Division power Monrovia. La Serna continues to impress and Cathedral and Bellflower are unbeaten. So is Crescenta Valley which is why the Falcons jumped to number seven. Norwalk? 44-6? Really? Lancers fall to five.

1. La Mirada (3-1) –Another big win over another big opponent.

2. St. Francis (3-0) – Dylan Crawford and the Golden Knights are the real deal.

3. La Serna (3-1) – Lancers just keep winning; South Hills latest victim.

4. Cathedral (3-0) – Phantoms have outscored last two opponents 118-18.

5. Norwalk (2-2) – A loss to El Toro is one thing, but 44-6?

6. Bellflower (3-0) – Was everybody sleeping on the Buccaneers?

7. Crescenta Valley (3-0) – Falcons have racked up 138 points in three games.

8. Dominguez (3-1) – Three straight wins after Zero Week loss to Orange Lu.

9. Salesian (2-2) – Losses to Loyola, Claremont don’t look too bad.

10. Downey (2-2) – I get the feeling Vikings are lurking.

In the mix: Burbank (2-1) La Salle (2-2) Muir (0-3), Harvard Westlake (2-1), Burroughs (2-1)
