1.  Former Glendora Tartan and current APU quarterback Chad Jefferies throws for two touchdowns and runs for another in the Cougar’s win over Simon Frasier.

2.  In three games Brentwood’s Eli Stern has passed for 684-yards and six touchdowns and rushed for 280-yards and three more scores.

3.  The Arizona Cardinals beat the 49er’s 23-14 Sunday and are alone on top of the NFC West at 3-0. After three weeks there are only three unbeaten teams in the NFL, Cardinals, Bengals and Eagles.

4.  Ex Tennessee Titan kicker and son-in-law of Terry Bradshaw Rob Bironas died in a single car accident on Saturday evening.

5.  The L.A. Galaxy come from behind and beat FC Dallas and punch their ticket into the post season.

6.  Former Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda turns 87 today.

7.  The Rams blow a 21 point lead and lose to the Cowboys 34-31.

8.  On this day in 1993 Nolan Ryan pitches his last game at the age of 46.
