Starting to believe any of the top four teams could take the Northwest…One of them will, certain of it. Maranatha needs to be tested like Nipomo has been. The Minutemen have not taken a punch since Bassett in Zero Week. Pasadena Poly is playing good football right now, it will be interesting to see how it translates against Rio Hondo Prep.

.) Maranatha Minutemen, 5-0 (Olympic League): It’s not a leap to guess that this team might be 10-0 come playoff time.

.) Nipomo Titans, 3-2 (Northern League): Tough schedule, still best team in Northern League.

.) Arrowhead Christian Eagles, 5-0 (Ambassador League): Notre Dame-Riverside will give them a challenge, after that they’ll have to wait till post-season.

.) Templeton, 4-1 (Northern League): En fuego with four consecutive victories.

.) Valley Christian Crusaders, 4-1 (Olympic League): Bounced back from disappointing loss…A victory over the Minutemen could make entire season.

.) Big Bear Bears, 4-1 (De Anza League): The class of the De Anza.

.) Pasadena Poly, 4-0 (Prep League): Is this the best team in the Prep League…We’re starting to think so.

.) Village Christian Crusaders, 4-1 (Olympic League): Bad loss to Verdugo Hills.

.) Mission Prep Royals, 3-2 (Northern League): Need to get the passing game going if they plan on going far in the post-season.

.) Cantwell Cardinals, 3-1 (South Catholic League): Anything less than a 50-burger and they drop out of the top ten.

Others (in no order): Rio Hondo Prep (2-3), Aquinas (2-2), St. Bernard (3-2), Heritage Christian (3-2), Notre Dame-Riverside (4-1), Verbum Dei (2-2).
