Monrovia and San Marino battled in an “Instant Classic” on Friday Night.

At the beginning of the season an argument could be made for three or four teams as favorites to win the Central Division. Now questions abound at Colony, Kaiser and Charter Oak as those teams seem to be vulnerable. San Marino with its showing against Monrovia can have a case made for getting to the finals now. Chino will be tested this week and will see if Colony can take care of business against Alta Loma. With those things said here are the newest top 10 list.

  1. Glendora (5-1) – No ands, ifs, or buts on who belongs on top.
  2. Monrovia (5-1) – Survive big scare against San Marino.
  3. Colony (4-2) – Big test in League should come from Alta Loma.
  4. Kaiser (4-2) – Take out frustrations on poor Grand Terrace.
  5. San Marino (4-2) – Titans played to good to lose against Monrovia.
  6. Charter Oak (3-3) – Sneak past Panthers to open up new-look Hacienda.
  7. Diamond Ranch (4-2) – Still haven’t cracked the CO code.
  8. Ayala (5-1) – Bulldogs might be back.
  9. West Covina (4-2) – Big game against Chino this week to determine who gets jump in Hacienda league.
  10. Chaffey (5-1) – Just winning ugly and gaining confidence.

Others receiving consideration: La Canada (5-1), South Pasadena (5-1), Chino (4-2)
