(Ontario, CA) – Colony showed why many predicted the Titans to be a force in the newly formed Central Division by dismantling Alta Loma, 49-22 with a strong offense and defensive performance.

Ryan Kinard ran for 104 yards on 20 carries and scored four times, while Josh Thompson threw for two touchdowns and ran for one leading Colony on the offensive side of the ball.

The Titans scored on their first three possessions to jump out to a 21-3 lead and the Braves were playing catch up from that point on early in the second quarter.

Losing quarterback Jacob Hennie early in the second quarter didn’t help Alta Loma get in sync on offense either as Austin Tanner came in to replace the dual-threat junior. Hennie was able to drive the Braves into the red zone on their first possession before settling for a field goal.

*** Tanner’s numbers in relief, 11 of 26 for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw four interceptions.

*** Tanner’s first touchdown pass was to Johnny Barnes for 52-yards down the left sideline.

***Barnes had five receptions of 115 yards and a score. James Nguyen also finished with five receptions for Alta Loma and a touchdown.

*** Hennie ran for 52 yards on the night, all in a quarter and half before leaving with an injury. As a team the Braves finished with 69 yards on the ground.

*** Alta Loma kick-returner Colin Wong returned 3 kicks for 131 yards. On two kick returns only had the kicker to beat and wasn’t able to get by.

*** Thompson shared the love with his receivers. Throwing to seven different players on the evening. Marcos Valencia and Zachery Fields were on receiving ends of touchdown tosses by Thompson.
*** Hugo Malana finished leading all Colony receivers with six catches for 51 yards.
*** Dorsey’s four interceptions broke Maurice Shaw’s record of two that was set eight years ago.

*** Fred Harrison ran for 70 yards on limited carries for Colony.

*** Fields touchdown was on a post route, Valencia was on a streak after Thompson double-pumped to freeze the Brave defense.

*** The game was in honor of Cancer Awareness as Colony released balloons in honor of those that have been touched by cancer.
