Scoring Summary

1st Quarter
9:46 – #13 Tanner East lobs a lazy pass from 6 yards out to number #40 Richie Cochran for the first Bonita touchdown. After #88 Garrett Deane pooches in the PAT Bonita goes up 7-0.

2:14 – West Covina answers back with a 40 yard Field Goal from #47 JD Algandar. Bearcats still up 7-3.

0:22 – BHS hammers it in from 28 yards out with a pass from East to #12 Danny Gelalich after a very confusing drive that ended after a fake punt attempt was hauled by a 10 minute reference discussion about what the penalty was resulting in the 4th down TD pass. Deane tacked on the extra point to make the lead after 1 quarter of play 14-3 Cats.

2nd Quarter

Bearcats made the only attempt of the quarter to put points on the board but came up short with a missed 45 Field goal attempt by Deane. The Bulldogs would go into halftime with a glimmer of hope down still 14-3.

3rd Quarter

0:53 – West Co dominated the 3rd but were only able to put up 3 points on the relentless defense of the Bearcats with Algandars second 40 yarder of the night. The Green and White still had the lead after the 3rd round of fight but the dogs were on there way back 14-6.

4th Quarter

5:37 – After more officiating malfunctions Bonita was able to capitalize on a down and out, plus mildly confused, WCHS defense and drive the dagger deeper with an 18 yard boot for 3 from kicker Deane.

3:27 – A 2 yard scamper from #23 Angel Verdugo capped off the Cats night to put them in the next round of playoffs. After the PAT the score was 24-6 in favor of the Bearcats.

1:37 – With time running out on the Bulldogs season #11 Isaiah Bravo connected with #3 Isaiah Love for the highlight play of the evening from 74 yards out for West Covinas only touchdown of the night. After adding the extra point the game would end with a score of 24-13 BHS.
