1.  The Pomona Red Devils beat Sierra Canyon 33-20 and advance to the CIF Mid Valley Division Finals.  It will be the first trip to the finals for Pomona since they won the title in 1951. They Red Devils will travel to Antelope Valley College to take on Paraclete.

2.  The Los Angeles Galaxy lose 2-1 but still advance to the MLS Cup Final against the New England Revolution. The game will be Sunday at 12:00 pm at the Stubhub Center.

3.  In the Lakers 129-122 overtime win over the Raptors, Kobe Bryant become the fist NBA player with at least 30,000 points ant 6,000 assists.

4.  UCLA lost any chance of a trip to the NCAA Division I football playoffs with their 31-10 loss to Stanford.

5.  USC’s Cody Kessler is the first to throw six touchdowns against Notre Dame in Saturday’s 49-14 blowout win.

6.  Ohio State losses quarterback J.T. Barrett to a broken ankle in the Buckeye’s 42-28 win over Michigan.

7.  The Calgary Stampeders knock off the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 20-16 for the Grey Cup title.

8.  On this day in 1973 Jack Nicklaus becomes the first golfer to earn $2,000,000 in one year.

9.  J.J. Watt caught a one yard touchdown pass Sunday giving him five scores this season and became the first defensive lineman to score five touchdowns since Joe Golding scored six in 1944.
