If Glendora doesn’t lose quarterback Matt Fink late in the season to an injury the Tartans 2014 season would definitely read differently. As it is they went 9-3 with a second round bow out to eventual Central champion Colony.

Greg Vaniman’s defense was expected to be good and it was. After holding on for a 38-37 win against Charter Oak the end of September, Glendora held opposing offenses to 14 points or less over the next seven weeks. This includes teams from Kaiser, Bonita, Claremont, South Hills, and Summit in the first round of the playoffs. They also held Los Altos to 14 points in a Week Three match.

Vaniman, the former El Monte HC and La Puente DC, is recognized as one of the best in the biz and we are happy to name him DC of the year in the Central.
