637 points, 90 touchdowns, and close to 400 yards per game. The Pomona offensive numbers in 2014 stand out like a neon sign. The Red Devils scored over 50 points in seven different games this season including over 70 on two occasions.

And behind this offensive explosion, the guy pulling all the strings through the post-season, directing the traffic, was Pomona Offensive Coordinator Leonard Hudson. Despite turmoil on the staff, (HC Aaron Jamieson was suspended late in the year and Hudson took over the play calling) Hudson continued to guide the Pomona offense all way t0 the Mid-Valley Division title. It helps when you have weapons like Darreon Lockett, Desmond Bobo, and Shawn Wilson but Hudson always had those guys in the right spots to make big plays. His play calling made those players as well as the rest of the offense the scariest in the division.

Some thought the Devils were fools gold even when the post season began, however Pomona never skipped a beat putting 65 on MacAuliffe and 41 on San Dimas in the first two rounds. In the Final, against an always stout, physical Paraclete defense, The Red Devils put up 37. This decision was crystal clear. For an offense that dominated all season long.

For stepping in at the right time and being part of the glue that held this roster together, Leonard Hudson is our Offensive Coordinator of the Year.
