1. For the second straight game, the Los Angeles Kings blew a one-goal lead and lost in overtime.

2. Clippers defeat Celtics last night, Lakers downed by Phoenix.

3. On this day in 1972, Secretariat was shipped to Lucien Lauren in Florida to begin training.

4. Of the other cities involved in AHL shakeup, Manchester Monarchs would move to Ontario (LA Kings), Stockton would become the Calgary affiliate, Bakersfield would be Edmonton’s affiliate. More to come.

5. La Salle boys’ basketball is currently first in Camino Real league at 2-0

6. Marantha Girls basketball is 13-8 and face Whittier Christian tonight in their second Olympic League game.

7. Muir’s girls basketball team is 8-27 since Gary Johnson left the program. Currently the Mustangs are 0-10.

8. Former Clipper Ron Harper turns 51 today.

9. Los Angeles Kings retired Rob Blake’s jersey number 4 in loss to Anaheim, Saturday night. He joins Dionne, Robitaille, Gretzky, Vachon, and Taylor in the rafters.
