3— Denver’s Jamaal Murray scores 45 in Nuggets 128-125 victory over the Utah Jazz. 

4—Starting at third base yesterday for the Colorado Rockies and homering was Kyle Karros, son of former Dodgers first baseman Eric Karros. The scouting report on Kyle is that he lacks his father’s power.

5—“Our responsibility in life is not to lie around and wait for things to happen. Our responsibility in life is to work. Life is getting out and getting things done. When people say they’re over the hill at age 50, I don’t understand it.” – Herschel Walker, who turns 64 today.

6—The Kansas City Chiefs are releasing RT Jawaan Taylor, who has a salary cap hit of $27 million. KC entered the off-season 57 million over the salary cap. By releasing Taylor, 29, they save 20 million.

7—The Los Angeles Rams have signed exclusive rights contracts for 2026 with kicker Harrison Mevis, Guard Justin Dedich, and wide receiver Xavier Smith.

8—The New York Mets this offseason parted ways with: Edwin “El Sugar” Diaz, Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, and Jeff McNeil.

9—NFL.com Draft Analyst Lance Zierlein, in his first mock draft after the combine, projects USC WR Makai Lemon going to the Rams at #13 and Clemson CB Avieon Terrell at #29.

10—On this day in 1974, George Foreman KO’d Ken Norton.
