Arcadia Assistant Eric Elias steps down after a ten year run

(Arcadia) – Eric Elias, who spent ten years at Arcadia as an assistant, has decided to step down to pursue other opportunities. Elias spent five years as a position coach for the Apaches and five years as a coordinator.

Elias still wants to coach and is looking forward to the next phase of his career. “I feel that this move will better my family and help me grow as a coach. It was definitely a tough decision but it was one I felt I had to make. If another opportunity opens up I hope I can help that program with everything I’ve been able to learn from Arcadia,” Elias said.

Elias was on the staff of three head coaches during his ten year run. The majority of it was spent under Jon Dimalante, then Chris Long for one year and most recently Andrew Policky.

“I hope the best for Arcadia. Coaching is a tough gig. We as coaches are trying to help mold teenagers into young men, while trying to win games in the process. I’m excited to see what’s to come for me in the future,” Elias added.
