"What is Milwaukee?" The Wolfman has gone to the Brewers...

Good Evening!

Not to be a Scrooge, but I’ve never seen three ships come sailing in on Christmas Day in the morning…on the other hand on three consecutive Christmas Days in the morning the best gift I got was a pair of boxer briefs…

It was great having Burroughs middle linebacker Charlie Hosea on the show last night…We wish nothing but the best for Chuck…But I do have a problem with Burroughs’ non-league schedule in 2010 that goes back exclusively to its old Foothill League roots (including Hart).

Note to Keith Knoop: Non-league scheduling needs to run through the Mid Valley office…It is all about us…: )

Love it when things are pointed out… “Overrated” set me straight on the boards today when he said I missed the most obvious point in the earlier San Dimas-Monrovia meeting; Ryan Kohler was hurt and only had two carries.

Of course Peterson, Mr. M-Town this week, who covered that game failed to refresh me in our debate. “Overrated” I tip my hat to you, indeed if I were wearing one.

Two players being overlooked who could be critical in the Mid-Valley Division Final are San Dimas linebacker Max Paronelli and M-Town safety Charlie Cimmarusti…Another ‘Cat to keep an eye on is super soph Luke Williams. It will be interesting to see if Saint DC Brian Mustain matches Jordan Taylor or Dillon Corona on Williams.

I know I’m going to come off looking stupid on this because I can’t defend it, but I have a feeling about Diamond Ranch against Charter Oak this week…Then again I had a feeling in 2006 when Arroyo went to La Habra (even wore an Arroyo blue sweater vest)…Didn’t turn out too good chief.

I reached out to former El Montean, current Boise resident, and avid Boise State Bronco football fan; LisaJean (Clower) Newbill for her thoughts on the Boise-TCU match up in the Fiesta Bowl:

“We most definitely wanted to play someone different. It’s all the BCS baby. Unfortunately we don’t get to vote. Personally I think they are afraid to let us play a more prominent team. The Fiesta Bowl Chairman however is thrilled about this match up. Supposedly we are the number two game to watch. So I’ll take it. I think TCU deserves a better conference every bit as much as we do. The whole thing is a mess, but you gotta love college football!”

I like the Wolfman, I’m a Randy Wolf guy, but 29.75-million over three years strikes me as a bit much. Perhaps there’s a Blue-State friend out there who can explain to me why I’m wrong…And where does Milwaukee get nearly 30-million to spend on a journeyman pitcher? Was that part of its stimulus allotment?

Speaking of 30-million dollars, the upfront money the Oakland Raiders current back up quarterback got, it just doesn’t buy what it used to…Think about it the Raiders probably collected ten box-tops and a $1.98 postage & handling to acquire current starter Bruce Gradkowski.

My take on the Tiger Woods situation? How great of a golfer would he be if he only had one woman on his mind?

On this night in 2005 Kevin Mort completed 12 of 15 passes for 177-yards and four touchdowns (Mike Maldonado, Adrian Puente, Erik Havman, & Derrick Oliver) and Marquies Winbush ran the ball 17 times for 121-yards and two touchdowns in South Hills 41-16 blasting of Orange for the CIF Title at Covina District Field. Fred Glaster added 14 tackles and a pick in the Huskies fourth and last crown.

Stay thirsty my friends…
