Schurr takes second at Duarte Tournament

(Duarte) – Schurr advanced all the way to the Championship game of the Duarte Tournament before falling to Mary Star of the Sea 3-0 Saturday in the Final. The Spartans knocked off Whittier on a walk off home run by Karen Roman Thursday night to earn a spot in the title game.
Schurr opened the tournament by shutting out Marshall 10-0 on Monday before blanking Flintridge Prep 6-0 on Tuesday night.
