1. Cubs demote Kris Bryant to minor league camp to gain an extra year of free-agent eligibility. Bryant batted .425 with nine homers and 15 RBI’s in spring training.

2. Monrovia softball is 3-0 in Rio Hondo League and 7-3 overall. They have outscored opponents 67-37.

3. Louisville announces that Montrezl Harrel and Terry Rozier will be entering the NBA draft.

4. Phil Jackson is asking Knicks season ticket holder fans to “remain optimistic.”

5. 2014 Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome finished second to Prince Bishop in $10 million Dubai World Cup. Will now stay in England to run during Royal Ascot meet.

6. Rick Barnes fired at Texas now in line to take over at Tennessee.

7. Former Charter Oak softball 3B Nicki Sprague is batting .450 with six home runs and 34 RBI’s at APU.

8.  Former St. John standout G Chris Mullin returns to the school to become their head coach.

9. Dukes Quinn Cook use to work concessions during Washington Redskins games.

10. 40 years ago today, UCLA defeated Kentucky 92-55 to capture the NCAA tournament title. It would be Wooden’s last game.
