2. Portland trades Nicolas Batum to Charlotte for Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh.

3. Behind Pavin Smith’s home run and three RBI Virginia beats Vanderbilt 4-2 to win the College World Series.

4. Justin Turner hits a three run shot and Adrian Gonzalez belts a solo home run to lead the Dodgers to a 5-2 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

5. The first five picks of Dick Vitale’s mock NBA Draft: 1. Minnesota: Karl-Anthony Towns 2. LA Lakers: Jahlil Okafor 3. Philadelphia: D’Angelo Russell 4. New York: Emmanuel Mudiay 5. Orlando: Kristaps Porzingis.

6. Harvey Pollack, the last original employee of the NBA’s inaugural season to be still working in the league, passed away at the age of 93. Pollack was working for Philadelphia as the director of statistical information at the time of his death.

7. After a 10-hour hearing Tom Brady now must wait to find out if his appeal of a four-game suspension will change the mind of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
