The Devil Made Me Do It

New incarnation of every other daily or whenever I feel like I column.

All thanks to Stephen Collins for giving me the title.  You can thank him later.

I won’t make any promises this time when column will magically appear, but looking at four days a week.

This week I have had a chance to be at the Lady Knights Basketball Tournament at Arroyo.  Some great little tidbits were dropped in my lap.

“In ten years of coaching, you are the first player to do that.” La Canada head coach Tamar Hill commented on Shannon Denney’s nice light pink uniform.

A few moments later, Grace O’Hara managed to get grease on her uniform.  To which Hill commented, “The hardest part about coaching this year’s team is keeping them focused.”  At 9-0, I would say she has done a good job.

Lady Knights head coach Mike Gorball will have a good team come Mission Valley League with the return of cousins Raydeen and Melissa Perez.

Gorball also has a good ball player in Joanna Reyes who leads the team in scoring.

You have to love Bishop Amat’s sophomore Gina Henderson.  In Wednesday’s victory over Sierra Vista she made a baseball throw that had everyone in awe.

Last note for a Saturday, two undefeated women’s teams play today at Arroyo at 6 pm as La Canada and Bishop Amat meet up in the semi-finals.
