Lenoir Sparks Salesian over Muir, 34-14

(Pasadena)—The Salesian offense supplied three touchdowns Friday night against Muir, but it was the defense and special teams that provided the 34-14 victory in the season opener for both schools.After Muir tied the score, 14-14, Deommodore Lenoir returned the ensuing kick-off 95-yards to put his team up for good. The defense also added a pair of picks off of Joey Knowles.
Salesian quarterback Robbie Blosser added two scores to lead the offense.
The bright spots for Muir were Knowles and running back Jonathan Stephens.
Twenty total penalty flags were thrown during the contest, but only four came in the first half.
Next week Salesian hosts La Canada while Muir travels to Cathedral.
