3. Everett Golson is named the starter at Florida State.

4. The Washington Redskins name Kirk Cousins the starter over Robert Griffin III.

5. After beating the Giants 5-4 in 14 innings Monday night the Dodgers win 2-1 Tuesday night to go 5 1/2 games ahead of San Francisco.

6. On this day in 1965 Ernie Banks of the Chicago Cubs belted his 400th home run.

7. Happy Birthday to former Los Angeles Rams running back Eric Dickerson who turns 55 today.

8. California at Bell Gardens Friday Night, 7:00 p.m.

9. UCLA DB Ishmael Adams will be arraigned in LA Superior Court after his arrest on suspicion of felony robbery.
