1.  Chase Utley was suspended for the next two games of the Dodgers v. Mets series for a slide that injured the Mets Ruben Tejada. Utley will appeal the suspension.

2.  Sierra Canyon’s Niko Harris has thrown for 1330 yards and 22 touchdowns and has made 39 out of 45 extra points.

3.  Steve Sarkisian has been placed on an indefinite leave of absence from his duties as head coach of the USC Trojans.

4.  Devon Harper of Colony leads the Mt. Baldy League in tackles with 83 and has added nine sacks.

5.  Former New York Knick and Heisman Trophy winner at Florida State Charlie Ward turns 45 today.

6.  The Cincinnati Bengals erased a 17 point deficit and beat the Seattle Seahawks 27-24 and are 5-0 to start the season for the first time since 1988.

7.  San Dimas at Northview Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Covina District Field.

8.  On this day in 1988, the Dodgers beat the Mets 6-0 to win the National League Championship Series 4-3.

10.  Former San Marino Titan running back Kwame Do has rushed for 649 yards and has seven total touchdowns for the Occidental Tigers.
