La Serna begins its run through the Del Rio while Burroughs maintains control in the Pacific. La Mirada is taking no prisoners. Downey withstands Dominguez and the lack of electricity. 2. La Serna (4-2, 1-0) – Lancers dispatch Whittier early in Del Rio opener.
3. Burroughs (5-1, 3-0) – Indians pop Pasadena; Arcadia next.
4. La Mirada (4-3, 3-0) – The cream is rising to the top for Mats.
5. Salesian (4-2, 1-0) – Huge win for Mustangs over St. Frank’s; can they challenge Cathedral?
6. Downey (3-3, 1-0) – Vikings use a solid D and a power shortage to quiet Dominguez.
7. St. Francis (4-2, 0-1) – Ouch! That one hurt. Need to bounce back against Harvard-Westlake.
8. Burbank (4-2, 2-1) – Bulldogs smash Glendale; Burroughs looming November 6.
