Mid Valley Divison Top Ten: 10/13/2015

No changes in the top ten this week as the only team that lost was Paraclete and let’s be honest, what other team in this top ten would have competed any better with a Pac 5 team? One team just out of the top ten to watch is Rosemead who should have their record above .500 when the season finale with Arroyo comes around November 6th.

1. Sierra Canyon (6-0 0-0) – Most of the Trailblazer’s toughest test are done with the exception of the Gold Coast Championship game November 6th.
2. Paraclete (3-4, 0-0) – The Spirits had a decent showing putting up 28 points against 5-1 Pac 5 Westlake.
3. Northview (5-1, 0-0) – The Vikings cruised past Rowland Friday and now will take on San Dimas Thursday for what most likely will be the Valle Vista championship game.
4. Montebello (4-1, 0-0) – As expected the Oiler easily handled their neighbors to the north Schurr. Won’t be challenged again until October 30 against Bell Gardens.
5. Bell Gardens (3-2, -0) – The Lancers for the most part had a second bye week jogging past Keppel. Montbello looms October 30th.
6. San Dimas (3-2, 0-0) – The Valle Vista League title will be on the line Thursday as the Saints may be the only team that can scare Northview.
7. Pomona (4-2, 0-0) – The Red Devils took the week off and now get into Miramonte League action. Not the toughest league around, focus will need to remain high.
8. Covina (4-2, 0-0) – The Colts did what they needed to do against Nogales but need to keep that momentum this week against Rowland.
9. Arroyo (4-2, 0-0) – With everyone above the Knights winning it’s hard to move up even after the federal pounding of Marshall.
10. Viewpoint (4-3, 0-0) – The Patriots won’t get bumped this week as the loss was against Oak Park and they are one of the few remaining schools in the Mid Valley Division with a +.500 record.
