1. The Cubs beat the Cardinals 6-4 to win the Division series in four games and advance to the NLCS.

2. The Dallas Cowboys name Matt Cassel the starting quarterback replacing Brandon Weeden.

3. Clayton Kershaw goes seven innings and allows one run as the Dodgers beat the Mets 3-1 to force a Game Five of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium Thursday night. Kenley Jansen picks up a four out save.

4. Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is out for the year with a torn ACL.

5. Claremont (6-0) at Ayala (2-4) Friday night, 7:00 p.m.

6. Former Laker Forward Lamar Odom was allegedly found unconscious in a room at a legal brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.

7. Glendora quarterback Matt Fink 2015 stats: Passing- 52-97-700 yards, 7 TD; Rushing: 63-353 yards, 4 TD.

8. On this day in 2003 fan Steve Bartman deflects a ball away from Chicago Cubs outfielder Moises Alou who is attempting to catch the foul ball. The Cubs give up eight runs in the inning and lose the playoff game to the Marlins 8-3. The Cubs go on to lose the series with Bartman’s gaffe seen as the turning point.

9. Happy Birthday to New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi who turns 51 today.
