Friday, November 13

Ayala (Palomares at large) at Charter Oak (Hacienda #1)
With a 3-7 record, the fact the Bulldogs got here is cause for a fiesta. However, in terms anything more…Well, what can we say other than, “Thank you for coming we have some lovely parting gifts for you.”
Charter Oak: 49-7

Grand Terrace (Sunkist #2) at Monrovia (Rio Hondo #2)
A year ago you would take the Wildcats but not this year. They’re still a good football team, but the Titans are better. This will not be an upset and Wildcat fans shouldn’t treat it like one.
Grand Terrace: 28-21

Kaiser (Sunkist #3) at Colony (Mt. Baldy #1)
If you’re counting the Titans out, you’re making a big mistake. The Titans have won seven in a row and their three losses have come against teams (Two PAC 5 schools & La Habra) with a combined record of 22-8. The Cats are good but they are out matched in this one.
Colony: 42-14

South Pasadena (Rio Hondo #3) at Glendora (Palomares #1)
Truly unfair that the Tigers first playoff appearance since 2003 has to come against the Tartans…Then again, outside of the brainiacs that came up with the idea of trophies for last place teams, who said was life was fair?
Glendora: 52-7

Diamond Ranch (Hacienda #3) at San Marino (Rio Hondo #1)
The Panthers need this to be close. They cannot win a shootout with the Titans. For the record SM’s J.P. Shohfi has 28 touchdowns, 19 receiving, 4 rushing, 3 interception return, and 2 by punt return.
San Marino: 47-28

Don Lugo (Mt. Baldy #2) at Bonita (Palomares #2)
I gave my soul to the Conquistadores last week and they broke my heart. I did the same for the Bearcats earlier in the season. So who do we go with? Don Lugo hasn’t won a playoff game this century. Go with the dudes from LaVerne.
Bonita: 30-22

Chaffey (Mt. Baldy #3) at Chino (Hacienda #2)
The whole season has boiled down to: Do you believe in the Tigers or don’t you? They Mikey Dean, 5-billion rushing yards, and 36 touchdowns…After that, the cupboard is bare. Go with the Cowboys, Da’creh West’s 19 touchdowns.
Chino: 40-20

South Hills (Palomares #3) at Summit (Sunkist #1)
SkyHawks. Before you give Summit the Central title because they are undefeated and at the opposite end of Charter Oak in the brackets…They are prime to be upset. It just won’t happen against the Huskies.
Summit: 36-6
