1. The Philadelphia Eagles fire Head Coach Chip Kelly with one game remaining in his third season. The Eagles are 6-9 this year.

2. The NBA suspends forward Matt Barnes for two games without pay for a physical altercation with New York Knicks HC Derek Fisher in October.

3. Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliot has been cited for three misdemeanors following a car accident Sunday. Elliot will still play Friday against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

4. UCLA defensive lineman Kenny Clark will forgo his senior season and declare for the NFL draft.

5. Former Harlem Globetrotters star Meadowlark Lemon passed away Sunday at the age of 83.

6. La Mirada is ranked 21st and Maranatha 22nd in the LA Times Prep Basketball Top 25.

7. Baylor rushes for 645 yards overall in a 49-38 win over North Carolina in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

8. Tyler Toffoli’s hat trick lifts the LA Kings to a 5-0 win over Vancouver. The Kings lead the Pacific Division with 46 points.
