  2. Tom Coughlin steps down as New York Giants HC after a 12 year run.
  3. Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will be ready to go for the Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday.
  4. Carolina Panthers cornerback Charles Tillman has a torn ACL and is out for the post season.
  5. TCU erased a 31-0 halftime lead and rallied to beat Oregon 47-41 in three overtimes Saturday in the Alamo Bowl.
  6. The Cleveland Browns fire HC Mike Pettine Sunday night after two years. Pettine’s overall record was 10-22.
  7. The San Francisco 49ers fire HC Jim Tomsula after one year. The 49ers went 5-11.
  8. Alabama and Clemson will square off for the College Football Championship Monday January 11.
  9. NFC Playoffs: Seattle at Minnesota, Green Bay at Washington. First Round Byes: Carolina, Arizona.
