Mid Valley High School Girls Basketball Top 20

With league play beginning, it is time to get up to date with area teams.

1.  Diamond Ranch (12-1) – Panthers only blemish came in the Ayala Tournament.

2.  Bishop Amat (12-4) – Lancers have dropped four-straight to very good teams.

3.  Bonita (15-1) – Bearcats may have been looking past West Covina.

4.  Crescenta Valley (12-3) – Falcons are one year wiser and poised to take Pacific title.

5.  La Canada (14-3) – Lady Spartans center Shannon Denney scored a school record 42 points in win.

6.  Glendora (12-3) – Tartans look much more mature in games this year.

7.  Alhambra (11-4) – Moors are definitely Almont League favorites going into opening game.

8.  Walnut (11-3) – Mustangs defeated 4-A champ Notre Dame SO in Ayala.

9.  La Salle (11-3) – Lancers will be tough to overtake in Camino Real.

10.  San Dimas (11-5) – Saints front-runners in tough Valle Vista.

11.  Muir (6-6) – After rough start, Mustangs are rolling.

12.  South Hills (10-4) – Huskies have lost two straight against San Dimas and Glendora.

13.  Valley Christian (12-3) – Crusaders are on four game win streak after loss to Corona-Centennial.

14.  Rosmead (9-4) – Panthers took Cantwell Tournament with win against Manual Arts.

15.  Santa Fe (11-7) – Chiefs had a good showing in Las Vegas Holiday Classic with 3-2 record.

16.  Sierra Vista (8-5) – Lady Dons have a high-pressure show that is very entertaining.

17.  West Covina (10-6) – Bulldogs upset Bonita and might be the sleeper team to take San Antonio title.

18.  Northview (9-6) – Quietly gaining momentum prior to the start of Valle Vista play.

19.  Flintridge Prep (13-4) – Rebels are an entertaining team to watch.  Nearly pulled upset off in La Canada tournament.

20.  Covina (9-7) –  No pressure to Chelsea Chmela, but Colts need her deadly outside shooting to get their inside game going.
