Charter Oak Clocks Glendora, 43-0

By Joe Torosian (Glendora)- Believe it or not, it was a scoreless first quarter. The other three, however, were a nightmare for host Glendora as Charter Oak charged its way to a 43-0 victory on Friday night at Citrus College.

Congratulations to Crescenta Valley and Glendora on winning its perspective tournaments in the area. Want to see some good softball, the Charter Oak Classic and Arroyo Tournament should provide some fun during the week. Good area schools will be in both.

Bearcats Fall in Finals

(Lake Elsinore) – Bonita scored a run in the first inning but was shut out the rest of the way and fell to Ocean View 2-1 Saturday in the CIF Division 3 Finals at the Diamond in Lake Elsinore.

Glendora’s Plutko Fires No hitter

By Corey Kwok (Glendora) – Adam Plutko fired a no hitter and Glendora got all the offense it needed in the first inning as the Tartans went on to beat Valencia 2-1 Friday to advance to the Division 2 semi finals.

CIF Baseball Playoff Scoreboard: Second Round

Valencia knocked out Arcadia first round by scoring on a passed ball at Giambrone Field. La Mirada 2 Rialto 1, La Mirada adv to quarterfinals, hosts Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach) Friday at 3:15pm.

Bishop Amat stumbled against St. Paul last week but is still number one in final poll. The Glendora pitching staff looks unhittable and Arcadia wrapped up a perfect run in the Pacific.
