1. Several local athletes make their college choices on National Signing Day including football players Francisco Perez – Baldwin Park (UCLA), Josiah Erickson -San Dimas (Sacramento State), Kam Brown – Charter Oak (Montana State), Eric Williams – Covina (Northern Arizona), Isaiah Love- West Covina (Washington State), Dareon Nash- Charter Oak (Montana), Zion Echols – Charter Oak (California), Conrado Simpson -Rosemead (Azusa Pacific).

2. The Dodgers hire Greg Maddux and Raul Ibanez to work in the front office.

3. Clippers Broadcaster Don MacLean rips Laker HC Byron Scott saying his coaching schemes are archaic and for his use of rookie D’Angelo Russell.

4. The LA Galaxy sign veteran Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong to go along with previous off season additions Jelle Van Damme and Ashley Cole.

5. USC lands the top rated player out of Long Beach Poly for the third consecutive year signing DB Jack Jones.

6. North Torrance LB, Mique Juarez, who decommitted from USC the day after Steve Sarkisian was fired, signed with UCLA.

7. Florida State had the number one ranked class on signing day according to ESPN with Alabama and LSU finishing two and three.

8. Denver Broncos rookie safety Ryan Murphy is sent home from Super Bowl 50 after he is allegedly involved in a prostitution sting.

9. Happy Birthday to Hall of Fame New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor who turns 57 today.

10. “Pressure is something you feel when you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.”- Peyton Manning.
