  1. Former South El Monte standout Ashley Diaz hit homers 11 and 12 for the Arkansas Razorbacks softball team in their three game weekend against Texas A&M she is three homers shy of the Razorbacks freshman record.
  2. Villanova wins on a last second shot by Kris Jenkins to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship
  3. Jake Arrieta goes seven innings for the Chicago Cubs in 9-0 win over Angels.
  4. Los Angeles Kings drop second game in a row and fall into second place in Pacific Division. Anaheim leads the division by  one point.
  5. Dancing Candy, Exaggerator and California-bred Smokey Image all confirmed to be entered in Santa Anita Derby on Saturday. The Santa Anita race meet ends Sunday.
  6. Clayton Kershaw hurls seven innings of shutout ball to help lead the Dodgers to a 15-0 win over the Padres.
  7. Clippers and Lakers meet tonight and tomorrow. The Clippers have defeated the Lakers five straight times dating back to last season.
  8. On this day, Kareem Abdul-Jabber became the highest-scoring player in NBA history with 31,421. Abdul-Jabber finished his career with 38,387 points.
  9. NCAA Women’s Basketball Final takes place tonight with UCONN facing Syracuse.
  10. “After a game like that, the angry reactions from people that inadvertently watched the team streams are funnier than ever.” – NFL Red Zone host Andrew Siciliano tweeting about fans inadvertently having the Bleacher Report Team Streams on instead of the national broadcast on TBS.
