1. Kevin Durant’s contract with Golden State is for two years at $54.3 million with a player option in the second year.

2. Pau Gasol agrees to a two-year deal worth over $30 million with the San Antonio Spurs.

3. The Chicago Cubs have made All-Star history by becoming just the second team ever to have its entire infield start in the All-Star game. Anthony Rizzo (1B), Ben Zobrist (2B), Addison Russell (SS) Chris Bryant (3B) were all elected to start next Tuesday’s game in San Diego.

4. Number one draft pick Ben Simmons made his NBA summer league debut with Philadelphia finishing with 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes.

5. The Dallas Mavericks have signed Harrison Barnes to a four-year, $94 million deal, and have re-signed Dirk Nowitzki to a two-year deal that could be in excess of $4o million. Dallas has also acquired Golden State center Andrew Bogut via trade.

6. Dodger pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu is scheduled to start Thursday after going 640 days without a big league start due to shoulder surgery.

7. The SGV Shootout at Arroyo: This Saturday July 9 at 9:00 a.m.
