"Anyone who has a kid trying out for his High School football team needs to read this book. Torosian has taken his 20 some years of reporting on Prep sports, mixed a healthy dose of San Gabriel Valley insider references and created a very readable first effort." "A page turner...I'm sorry it's over! Is a sequel in the works?" "Torosian does for high school football what Hemingway did for the Spanish Civil War...compelling look beyond the scoreboard and into the lives of players..." "A truly great story unfolds in the pages of Joe Torosian's first novel. With high school football at its core, the story of Dale Andrade shows how a young man grows in all aspects of his life thanks to being a part of a team and a football community." “This is a great read for everyone: from those who love high school football to those who have no idea about the game.” "This book brings you onto the field and into the locker room..." Don’t worry they will win league. 7 on 7 freshmen level means zero.

@Dons. So what your saying is El Rancho was loaded with talent but only won 1 game. They went 1-4 the tournament and they would beat everyone with pad on. LOL. So I guess they would beat Amat, Valencia, Downey , Villa Park. What are you smoking. Need to go back to popwarner and be happy with saying they gave a valiant effort, cus with or without pads your boys would of been smashed. But losing to Pioneer in a close one say a lot about what’s to come. LOL.

El Rancho is loaded with talent at every position, but need a QB desperately, probably 10 deep at WR. Beat Glendora handily in the 1st game, lost to Pioneer by 3 in the 2nd game on an interception, lost to a Villa Park team that looked like a JV squad then played Glendora again and lost by 3. Ive never been to a freshmen 7 on 7 tournament, it was fun, but all I kept thinking was man if this ER team was in pads they would have destroyed every team they played.

We win with what we have. The ring will come in our future not our past. You and I both know you don’t win ring(s) with local talent… That’s right be honest with yourself. So like I said don’t run your neck(s)…. Ha ha necks
