SEM/Fullerton LB Joe Morales will announce his D-1 destination Wednesday afternoon.

Good Afternoon!

T-Minus-231 Days until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Talk about an athlete with legs, we first started talking about former South El Monte, St. Paul, and now Fullerton JC linebacker Joe Morales in 2003. Wednesday afternoon we will be talking about him once again as he announces where he expects to be playing division one football in 2010.

No clear indication yet, but it is expected to be out of state.

All we can say is good for Joe…Morales has always been a Mid Valley favorite.

Why are the Grammys that big of a deal? Give me old music, the oldest you’ve got…no more of this new stuff…

Besides it was Pro Bowl Sunday…and I wouldn’t miss the Pro Bowl with a gun to my back.

Do you want to know how important 11 points are? That’s the difference between Temple City finishing 5-4-1 and out of the playoffs, versus being 9-1 and extending its season into the third week of November.

“It’s all about working hard and getting ready,” said an energized Anthony White about his team. “We’re gonna be young but we have a lot of talent.”

Gone are Max Ruckle and Justin Smith leaving both the tailback and quarterback positions up for grabs.

Currently Andrew Gibson and Josh Simangunsong will vie to be to the schools next thousand yard rusher, while Calvin Copping and Brandon Cox will compete to see who gets to line up behind center.

USC throws its current mens basketball team under the bus, they fire graduate assistant team manager after getting called for a technical foul over the weekend…but they’ve done nothing about the problem: Mike Garrett.

The NCAA was going to what it wants to do, but this false self-penalizing stance regarding its basketball team was a joke. Take away a season from the current team, as a punishment for what the previous coach and players did. How brain dead. How federal government. Fire Garrett.

I’m not one to advocate quitting or walking, but I’d be looking to take the midnight to train to anywhere.

Late to the party on this but I’m going to miss Vlad Guerrero playing with the Angels. Maybe that’s because I root for the team that thought his brother Wilton was a better prospect.

Do you think Kurt Warner is retired for good?

There are only so many hits a quarterback should be allowed to take, and I believe Warner has reached his max.

I said it on Facebook, but I thought “Catcher in the Rye” was overrated.

Note to Blue State: As Guerrero zeroes in on his 35th birthday, are we starting to see the return to the “normal” break down to age and wear of the baseball player with the steroid era now over?

Note to Josh O: Did I fall off the wagon and use the word “THAT” recently? If I did cut me some slack, I’m suffering through a back injury.

What’s going on with Rosemead basketball? And I’m talking about the boys…Not since the ‘glory’ days of head coach Steve Fischel have they been this consistent.

Fischel, by the way, has been enjoying life at Beckman High School the last five seasons coaching the Patriots boys varsity squad.

Stay thirsty my friends…
