(Glendale)–Crescenta Valley opened the 2016 season with a 51-8 rout over City Section, Verdugo Hills on Thursday night.
Sophomore quarterback Cole Doyle hit on 10 of 11 passes and two touchdowns. Chuck Weinmann scored on a pair of runs and the newly chrome-domed Falcons led 37-0 at halftime.
CV travels to Golden Valley next Friday night.
The victory was head coach Paul Schilling’s 45th as he begins his seventh season leading the Falcons.
