1.) On this date in 1965 Dodger left hander Sandy Koufax fires a perfect game in a 1-0 win over the Chicago Cubs. It’s Koufax’ fourth no-hitter.

2.) Former Temple City middle linebacker Tommy Bullock turns 30.

3.) In his first regular season NFL start, Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian complete 18 of 26 passes for 178 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in a 21-20 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

5.) Current Dodger left hander Clayton Kershaw returns to action tonight, taking the hill against the Miami Marlins. Kershaw last pitched in an MLB game in June.
